This is your standard Mexican food restaurant, but unfortunately the food is kind of bland. It doesnt pop like other local places. For the price, the portions are quite small compared to similarly priced restaurants like Oĺe Oĺe in Carson. Definitely an option, but don't get your hopes up. I am looking forward to the future, as I love to support local businesses.

Wasn't sure about it, but had good ratings. So glad we chose to eat here. Yummy traditional Mexican food, everything you would expect. The service was terrific! Would go back if im ever traveling through the area again!

Atmosphere is great, but service is slow (but very nice). Very Americanized Mexican food. Nicest outdoor seating in Dayton. Totally worth going, but they could use a taco without all the lettuce and tomatoes if ya know what I mean.

I have never been treated more rudely before I even sat down. She was a mature woman and when I get her name I will edit this. Very condescending attitude. She took a reservation, didn't ask our names. I didn't think much of it. We got there and after waiting we finally got acknowledged by a different person. We explained we had a reservation but they did not get our name. The woman that took the reservation came up and said it was her in a very rude tone, another gave the last two seats away, and then the rude one said we had to wait anyway. This wouldn't of bothered me but her demeanor was horrible. I will NEVER go back there again. Great food but terrible atmosphere and they cannot handle a crowd as evidences by their attitude.

Oh Man! This little place has the best food and drinks ever!It is off the beaten path ,but so worth finding! If you miss it ,you will never know how great a dinner can be! Call and make a reservation! Like I said it is small, They do have outdoor dinning also!

Great local place with good food and service

Such good food. I'm working in Virginia City this week and wanted some good home cooked Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. I drove all the way back to VC and the food was still so hot and yummy. We live in Fallon but I will be bringing my hubby here for date night, the patio looks soooo cute.

My close friend loves this place and I have to agree!! The chili relleno was the best I've had since New Mexico. It was quite busy when we were there, but the staff were friendly as the food was timely.I WILL return and would gladly recommend.

Wish the food was as good as the service.For a fraction of the price you could go to a Robertos... hell... even a Taco Bell, and get way more flavor for your dollar.

Good chips and salsa.

The owner of Compadres is usually in the kitchen where everything that's served is homemade. We always eat several dishes of the salsa fresca because of this personal touch. While everything we've had there has been delicious, you MUST save room for the FLAN! We NEVER eat dessert eating out, but one time we tried the flan & were hooked. The consistency of the custard is amazing & you'll eat every speck on the plate.

Love the place

We enjoyed the tasty ample portions, which our daughter raved about this great find. The service was excellent even though Tammy Lynn our waitress, was understaffed.

We walked in and were greeted. We asked to order to go and were instructed to sit at the bar. We were totally ignored. We waited long enough and just left. The 2 women servers didn't seem to care.

Very disappointed went in to the restaurant was told it was a 10 min wait because they had tables reserved two other people walked in as we were waiting and asked if they could sit in the reserved table the waitress told them that the table was reserved and if they could be out by 6 they could have the table not even asking if we wanted the table. So rude we will not come back.

Man oh man, where has this gem been my whole life?!?! My absolute undeniable favorite Mexican food place. I now will be going here for the forseeable future.

Food good but service sucks and it's little pricey

The best Mexican restaurant I have found. We always will stop and eat here whenever we are passing through Dayton. The food is amazing and the staff is always great! We are always looking forward to our next visit.
